Why Choose a Career in Sustainability?
Green jobs offer good-quality work and offer the potential for a well paying career. These jobs are also less likely to be taken over by AI or machines. It suits people that enjoy making a difference and helping people, especially the most vulnerable in society. This fast-growing sector offers a chance to make a big difference. Many industries, like energy companies, housing groups, and local councils, need sustainability experts. Demand for skilled workers in this field is growing, creating opportunities for a stable and rewarding career.
Tackling climate change and reducing the use of carbon emissions will require improving the energy efficiency of many of the UK’s 27 million homes. Sustainability Project Officers will play a key role in this as the first point of contact, helping customers and providing home energy advice.
