Ayodele

Before joining the Generation Healthcare bootcamp in April 2024, Ayodele was unemployed for more than 6 months and struggling with the employability skills needed to get a job.

“I struggled knowing how to write a good CV and how to answer an interview question.”

On programme, Ayodele was able to develop these skills to prepare him for the workplace.

“I found the issues of health and hygiene, safe guardianship and personal development to be quite exciting and interesting. Learning about CV and personal statement writing and interview skills were particularly challenging, but this helped me become ready for the workforce. I feel more prepared to show myself as a competitive applicant and handle the challenges of job searching.”

After completing the course Ayodele secured a job as a Healthcare Support Worker at London Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and he is excited to embark on this new chapter of his life.

“What excites me the most are the countless opportunities that lie ahead. I am excited to embrace every step of this new career path, which offers prospects for growth, influence, and fulfillment.”

The Generation bootcamp has changed Ayodele’s life, from being more financially stable to being able to plan for his future.

“I feel more independent now that I have a consistent salary. I can make decisions about my life without depending on other people for financial support, such as buying a place of my own. Having a job has also increased my responsibility for managing other facets of my life, like long-term goal setting, planning, and budgeting.”
