We’re ‘Outstanding’

We are extremely proud that Generation UK has been awarded an ‘outstanding’ rating by Ofsted – an important milestone in increasing awareness of the impact skills bootcamps bring to individuals across the UK and, positioning us as sector leaders in our design and delivery. 

Across the team we are passionate about our mission – to support diverse people facing barriers to employment into life-changing careers that they otherwise would not have access to. 

The inspection report from Ofsted highlighted our focus on creating aspirational and engaging learning environments, noting that learners are highly motivated, committed and that the impact we talk about so often is felt by the learners we serve:

“Learners justly recognise the transformational effect that studying at Generation has on many of their lives”. 

Our learning team is committed to creating a learning environment where every individual feels welcome and supported. This was echoed throughout the report from Ofsted as they saw first-hand the active engagement and contributions our learners make during sessions.

“Learners have an excellent understanding of how their skills bootcamp programme can lead to paid, sustainable employment…and their work is of a very high standard.”

All of our programmes are designed with employers, communities and industry experts to develop a curriculum that provides the skills and knowledge learners need to find meaningful employment and thrive in their roles. Beyond this, learners develop transferable behavioural skills and approaches such as growth mindset, which help them, which help them to develop the resilience and confidence they need to overcome barriers that may have previously held them back.

“Trustees, leaders, and staff work very closely with employers and partner organisations to carefully design programmes to provide workers with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours that industries need.”

Partnering with Generation UK offers employers access to a pool of diverse, motivated talent who are equipped with the necessary skills they need whilst creating tangible social value.
