On Tuesday 29 September 2026, Generation UK attended the prestigious Women in Tech Employer Awards ceremony taking place in London. We were delighted to to win the category for Leading Training Provider or Academy. Our organisation was also shortlisted for the new Not for Profit / Social Impact initiative award, alongside a host of game changing tech and social impact initiatives.

Our first Women in Tech Employer Awards win!

We’re thrilled to win Leading Training Provider at the Women in Tech Employer Awards, with thanks to all our incredible partners, funders, trainers and colleagues who make our work possible.

As a charity we’re proud to support women facing barriers to employment and to open doors into tech careers through our bootcamps.

Since 2019, over 1,200 women have trained with us, and more than 65% have moved into work. Our women-only tech cohorts are helping hundreds of learners into new careers, at a time when only 29% of the UK tech industry workforce are women.

In 2025, our women-only cohorts model, with support from funders, enabled us to recruit 72 women onto programmes in IT Support, Data Analytics, and Cloud Engineering, and our latest impact report shows 45% of our overall learners are women.

This award wouldn’t be possible without our motivated and talented learners and alumni. Congratulations also to our AWS alumna Chinny Odimega, founder of Befabulous Technology CIC, won the Entrepreneur of the year award!
